Saddling Up

(Rotary Cycle Ride )

Over the past four years, Rotary GBI has raised over £250,000 pounds towards beating prostate cancer. Around half of this money has come from the Rotary Ride. 2018 will be the third year Rotary clubs all over the UK will be holding cycle events to help beat prostate cancer.

On and around Father’s Day weekend 2018, 16th and 17th June, across UK, Rotary clubs are organising bike rides to help beat prostate cancer. The rides are open to the public and there’s a ride to suit all abilities from beginners with stabilisers to the experienced mountain biker.

There will be static bike rides and family fun rides as well as more challenging routes. You will join hundreds of cyclists who are pedalling to help stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Sadly, with 1 in 8 men being diagnosed with prostate cancer, and the majority of these men over the age of 50, there isn’t a Rotary Club in the county which doesn’t have a personal connection to this disease.
