Martha Collingson
(Rotary Young Chef in Bake Off)
Martha Collison, winner of the East Berkshire Rotary Young Chef of the Year competition, is taking part in the current series of the BBC’s Great British Bake Off.
Martha cooked a meal of chicken roulade, cream cheese, roast butternut squash, chestnut risotto, parmesan and chilli crisps, wholemeal chocolate fondant and raspberry coulis to win the Rotary Young Chef regional final at Licensed Victuallers School, Ascot in 2012.
Bob Linnell of Ascot Rotary Club said at the time: “Cooking is a valuable life skill and the Rotary Young Chef competition is designed to support the development of cookery skills. Contestants learn how to cook a healthy meal, develop food presentation and organisational skills and learn about hygiene. Martha did extremely well to win the local final and we wish her the very best of luck in the Great British Bake Off.”
